One of my jobs as the marketing coordinator of my company is to hire speakers for various conventions. One thing that I am always concerned about when hiring a speaker is, will they be able to deliver? Especially when they are relatively new. I will be honest, that was in the back of my mind, when I hired Eddie. What a surprise! Not only did he deliver his 40 minute speech and drive home the message we were trying to convey, he also inspired and entertained us none stop. When returning to work the next week I was instructed to hire Eddie back to be our key note speaker at our next convention. Virginia Tkach, Marketing Coordinator, Fancy That
“A great speech is a combination of inspiration, wisdom, timing, organization, physical and verbal humour and vocal variety. Eddie Burton is a master at each of those and, like the master chef he is, he blends them together in speeches that are a total delight.”
“I was chatting several months ago at a training event about great speeches and another Toastmaster who heard Eddie win the District Humourous Speech Contest in 2007 at Deerhurst was mentioning how he felt his speech epitomized what a great speech should be. Not, he hastened to add, just what a great humourous speech should be, but what any great speech should be. It certainly still ranks way up there with the best speeches I have ever heard.”
Hiring a speaker or trainer for your company can be a big challenge as your reputation is often on the line if the speaker turns out to be less than excellent. I have known Eddie for 18 years and I know that you would not be second guessing your decision to hire him for your company. He is entertaining while weaving a honest, sincere and motivational message throughout all his talks that will drive, educate and entertain your team. In economically challenging times like these, you need a speaker that is sincere and understands your challenges. Eddie Burton is just that person and I highly recommend him as a motivational, educational and entertaining speaker.

I first met Ed Burton, a devoted family man, farmer and successful real estate agent, over five years ago when I was called to serve as
minister at Dunsford United Church, where he is a member. Ed created the idea of Giggles Night, an evening of storytelling and humour, as a fundraiser for our church. The evening was a phenomenal success, not just financially, it also spread joy in our community. As one of the story tellers that night, Ed was amazing, by creating and bringing characters alive. His humour is based on human experience, not put downs. When dealing with people, he exhibits an air of quiet confidence and respect, that sets people at ease.
